![]() CAMILLA CAMPANALE (Gina) Camilla Campanale answers some questions about Gina Born in Palmanova, in northeastern Italy, to a family with an artistic and literary background and interests, Anna Camille Grilloni-Camilla Campanale-grew up in an extremely stimulating, multicultural environment: Her mother is an American teacher, translator and part-time journalist, so Camilla got early exposure to American culture; her father is an Italian journalist, poet and writer, and from both Camilla inherited a fascination with words and communication, which developed during her college years into a love for foreign languages on the one hand and acting on the other. She graduated college summa cum laude in foreign languages and literature and after years of diversified theatrical activity as an actress and dancer, Camilla moved to Los Angeles in 1999. Camilla was offered her first role in an American movie by director Henry Jaglom, "FESTIVAL IN CANNES." Her next film role was in Brian Sawyer's "TEX, THE PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE GUNSLINGER." At present Camilla is continuing to balance work in Italy and the U.S., never neglecting her love for the theater in general and Shakespeare in particular. She is going to appear next in two stage productions of Royal Shakespeare Company coach and director Richard Winter's; she will be Lady India in Jean Anouilh's "RING ROUND THE MOON" and Queen Hermione in William Shakespeare's "A WINTER TALE." |
