Rost recently André Gregory directed the Chekhov play "UNCLE VANYA" which in turn became the film "VANYA ON 42ND STREET," directed by Louis Malle. He also co-created, with Wallace Shawn and Mr. Malle, the play and film of "MY DINNER WITH ANDRE," in which he co-starred as well. Acting credits include Martin Scorsese's "LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST" (in which he played John the Baptist), Jerry Schatzberg's "PROTOCOL" (opposite Goldie Hawn), Peter Weir's "MOSQUITO COAST" (opposite Harrison Ford) and Henry Jaglom's earlier film "ALWAYS (BUT NOT FOREVER)." On stage he directed "ALICE IN WONDERLAND," which ran for five years in New York and toured the world, and Samuel Beckett's "END GAME," which ran for four years in New York. Gregory is a member of the Actor's Studio.
