[VIVECA LINDFORS -- Helena]
As a young Swedish film star, Viveca Lindfors was brought to Hollywood in the 40's and was put under contract to Warner Brother's, where she co-starred with - among others - Errol Flynn, Charlton Heston and Ronald Reagan. Chafing under the creative limits of the Studio System, she left Hollywood for a successful stage career in New York, highlights of which include her starring on Broadway in the title role of the original "ANASTASIA," and her appearance in the famous Theatre de Lys production of "BRECHT ON BRECHT." Many varied film roles have included Sydney Pollack's "THE WAY WE WERE," Alan Rudolph's "WELCOME TO L.A.," Robert Altman's "A WEDDING," George Romero's "CREEPSHOW" and Rob Reiner's "THE SURE THING." Ms. Lindfors has worked steadily in television and won an Emmy Award for her work on ABC's "LIFE GOES ON." Her most recent feature films are Woody Allen's "SHADOWS AND FOG," Chris MacIntyre's "FINNEGAN'S WAKE" and last year she was featured in Roland Emmerich's "STARGATE." On stage she has toured the country in her own one-woman show, "I AM WOMAN."
