Martha Plimpton made her motion picture debut in "ROLLOVER" starring Jane Fonda. Since that time she has appeared in more than sixteen films, most notably Ron Howard's "PARENTHOOD," Woody Allen's "ANOTHER WOMAN," Tom Rickman's "RIVER RAT," Peter Weir's "MOSQUITO COAST" and Sidney Lumet's "RUNNING ON EMPTY." Recent work include appearances in Alan Rudolph's "MRS. PARKER & THE VICIOUS CIRCLE," Jennifer Warren's "THE BEANS OF EGYPT MAINE" and Stephen LaRocque's "SAMANTHA," in which she stars in the title role. She is currently shooting "BEAUTIFUL GIRLS" for Miramax and will be shooting the screen version of "I'M NOT RAPPAPORT" later this year. Ms. Plimpton's theatre credits include "PERICLES" at the New York Shakespeare Festival and Eric Bogosian's "SUBURBIA" at Lincoln Center, as well as several seasons at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, of which she is a member. Born and raised in New York City, she is the daughter of actors Keith Carradine and Shelley Plimpton. Her stepfather is stage director Dan Sullivan.
