LAST SUMMER IN THE HAMPTONS
(Henry Jaglom, 1995, 108 mins)
A HOLLYWOOD actress (radiant newcomer Victoria Foyt) feels insecure among theatre folk gathered together over one weekend at a summer retreat on Long Island. Some Jaglom films can get bogged down in the director's neuroses, but not this beguiling comedy-drama. Viveca Lindfors is mesmerizing as the hostess and matriarch, and André Gregory makes lovely mischief as a charismatic director.
